A rat in Cambodia has been awarded a gold medal for sniffing out dozens of landmines.
The African giant pouched rat had been trained to find landmines and to alert human handlers for safe removal.
The rat went through more than 141-thousand square meters of land, and discovered 39 land mines, as well as 28 items of unexploded ordnance.
The medal was awarded for his "lifesaving bravery and devotion to duty".
The UK charity that awarded him said it's the first time in its 77-year history of honoring animals that a rat has been presented with a gold medal.
