This is the terrifying moment a pickup truck was washed away by a swollen river during Typhoon Noul last week.
The car's owner watched in dismay from the banks as his vehicle is slowly swept by the river rapids in Xaisomboun province, central Laos on September 21.
Aside from property damages, no death or injuries from the typhoon were reported so far in the region. It had passed through by Sunday but rivers were flowing fast and overflowing due to the high volume of rain.
Typhoon Noul made landfall in Vietnam last Friday before moving west in Laos and Thailand, where it caused widespread damage and severe flooding.
