In the Western Cape, Saldanha Bay municipal bosses claim a political smear campaign is behind the allegations of corruption against them. They are accused of stealing cigarettes during lockdown. The tobacco had been removed from shop owners who were caught selling the smokes during the ban on cigarette sales.
