Indira Ekadashi fast is observed on the Ekadashi date of Krishna Paksha of Ashwini month. This year this fast is falling on 13 September. According to beliefs, this fast is observed for the salvation of fathers. इंदिरा एकादशी व्रत अश्विनी माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी तिथि को रखा जाता है. इस साल यह व्रत 13 सितंबर को पड़ रहा है. मान्यताओं के मुताबिक, पितरों की मोक्ष प्राप्ति के लिए यह व्रत किया जाता है. इस व्रत का महत्व स्वयं श्री कृष्ण ने इंदिरा एकादशी व्रत कथा का महत्व धर्मराज युद्धिष्ठर को बताया था.
