While many people see ants as little more than disturbing pests they see crawling over scraps of food, Singaporean John Ye has been keeping the insects as pets. The “ant-repreneur” left a job in wholesale electronics distribution to open a store for ant fanciers in the island state. Even though the idea of raising the tiny creatures as pets is fairly new in Singapore, Ye said a growing number of people are opening up to the idea.
