Amnesty International calls for investigations

7 people have been killed by security forces in Angola between May and July. Amnesty International and an Angolan Rights Organisation claim the deaths were a result of COVID-19 restriction enforcement operations. They say the victims were all boys and young men, with the youngest victim just 14-years-old. The organisations believe the true death toll is likely to be much higher. They are calling for thorough, independent, impartial and transparent investigations. David Matsinhe, a researcher at Amnesty International Southern Africa, provides more on this.
