오늘부터 21대 국회 첫 정기국회 100일 대장정
South Korea's 21st National Assembly officially gets to work on its September regular session in the coming hours.
The ruling Democratic Party and the main opposition Liberty Korea Party will give their policy speeches next Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
Lawmakers will grill senior government officials on their policies and anti-COVID measures from September 14th.
They'll vote on the first batch of urgent bills on the 24th.
The annual three-week audit of government agencies starts October 7th.
Lawmakers will also review and vote on the government's 2021 budget proposal during the 100-day session.
Since the session is the first since the pandemic, the assembly has installed hand sanitizers, transparent dividers and separate microphones as part of prevention measures.
