김정은 "당대회서 새 국가경제발전 5개년 계획 제시할 것",... 북한 국가경제 목표 심히 미진
Now to the latest out of North Korea
A major five-year economic development plan will be announced by the regime's leader Kim Jong-un, during the upcoming Workers' Party congress, set for January 2021.
North Korea's state mouthpiece, the Korean Central News Agency, reported this morning that Kim announced the plan on Wednesday during a plenary meeting of the party's Central Committee.
The Workers' Party also admitted the regime's planned economic projects are falling behind due to intense internal and external circumstances.
As a result, it said it had failed to clearly improve the livelihoods of the North Korean people.
The congress will allow the regime to roll out its major policy directions for the years to come.
