A village in western Indonesia has been left abandoned since 2014 when a volcanic eruption forced its 400 villagers to evacuate. Footage filmed on August 17, 2020 shows the eerie remains of houses and farmland in Berastepu which was abruptly abandoned and left in disrepair. The January 2014 eruption of Mount Sinabung killed at least 16 people, and there have been deadly eruptions since then.
