Malaysia recorded nine new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (July 23), bringing the total infections in the country to 8,840.
Out of the nine new cases, Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said three were imported cases involving a Malaysian and two non-citizens.
The remaining six cases were local transmissions, involving four Malaysians and two foreigners.
