Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad met Russian President Vlamidir Putin on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit in Singapore Tuesday.
Putin, who requested for the meeting, expressed his satisfaction with Dr Mahathir over the state of bilateral ties, while Dr Mahathir hoped both countries could increase trade.
The Malaysian premier also asked Russia for help in maintaining the country’s fleet of Russian planes.
