The orang asli community of Kelantan is in the middle of putting up another logging blockade in the jungles of northeast Peninsular Malaysia in protest of planned logging in the Perias forest reserve. They say about 150ha of forest is going to be cut down near the villages of Bayor and Remau and the state government has one week to respond. They warn that if not, they will make sure the blockade is here to stay. This blockade will be the second such blockade in the area in recent months.
