Residents of Bilawas Village in Rajasthan, northern India, rescued a trapped peacock from a 50-foot-deep well on August 9.
Footage shows a man lowering himself deep into the well and grabbing the peacock, holding it down onto a woven stretcher. Villagers then pulled the pair to safety.
According to local reports, local villagers passing by the area heard a sound from inside the well. They saw a peacock inside, tired, and sat in the corner of well, before gathering a rescue team.
The villagers kept the peacock with them for an hour for medical treatment, before releasing the bird back into the wild.
