Powerful winds brought by typhoon Mekkhala blow down 27th-floor windows of building

Powerful winds blew down the windows on the 27th-floor of a building in southern China after typhoon Mekkhala made landfall at around 7:30am on August 11.

In the video, shot in the city of Zhangzhou in Fujian Province, the windows on the 27th-floor of a high-rise building next to the sea were ripped off by the strong winds.

Firefighters walked up to the 27th floors to rescue three people who got trapped inside the flat.

The three trapped people were evacuated successfully, reports said.
