North Korea's Red Cross has deployed 43-thousand volunteers to help communities prevent outbreaks of the coronavirus and provide flood assistance.
That's according to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the only international organization that can enter all areas of North Korea.
The IFRC says its volunteers are providing 21-hundred families most at risk in the North with relief items including tarps, hygiene kits, and water containers, as well as psychological assistance.
North Korea has also stepped up its weather forecast broadcasting.
Starting this month, the North's Korean Central Television has been airing weather forecasts twice daily with weather agency officials making appearances to explain the situation and letting people know how to prepare.
