A month after he revolted against Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and left Jaipur with 18 supporting MLAs, Sachin Pilot met Rahul Gandhi & Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and rolled back his rebellion. Pilot’s decision comes after assurance that his grievances would be redressed, even though terms of peace deal remain to be chalked out in detail. Sachin Pilot, after daylong deliberations to chart out a path for reconciliation with the party, told reporters on August 10 evening that his rebellion was meant to flag ‘ideological issues’. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is part of the party's three-member panel that is expected to look into the rebels' grievances. 42-year-old Pilot, who has repeatedly denied reports that he was joining the BJP, now said, ‘There were some issues which we wanted to highlight. I did that.’ In a late-night tweet, Pilot thanked Gandhi's and other senior leaders for ‘addressing grievances’. Congress leaders Abhishek Singhvi and Shashi Tharoor put out messages of support for Sachin Pilot.
