A village in Sumatra was shrouded in ash after Mount Sinabung erupted on August 10.

Volcanic ash from the eruption landed on the nearby village turning the buildings and roads a dark grey colour.

The 2,460-metre (8,070-foot) volcano became active again in 2010 after lying dormant for 400 years.
