Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray on August 4 lashed out at "dirty politics" over the Sushant Singh Rajput case after his name came up in speculative reports & in theories floating online. In a statement in Marathi, he asserted that it was "not a crime" to have "personal relationships" in the film industry. Calling "politics over the dead" an assault on humanity, 30-year-old Thackeray strongly denied a "single connection" to the case involving Sushant’s death on June 14. A picture of the state tourism minister with an actress went viral, with many claiming she was Rhea Chakraborty. The photo was actually of another actor. Meanwhile, actor Ankita Lokhande, Sushant Singh Rajput's ex-girlfriend, tweeted a cryptic message hours after the Bihar government recommended a CBI probe into the Bollywood star's death. With a hashtag "listeningtomyhigherself", she wrote that she would follow the journey of her heart and couldn't be bought or sold.
