A man was arrested on charges of assaulting a hairdresser in the Buenos Aires town of Munro, Argentina, on August 1.

He took his 11-year-old son to get a haircut, who was hiding the toy weapon, police confirmed.

The event was captured by the security camera of the hairdresser, located on Coronel Francisco Uzal y Debenedetti street.

Minutes before the hairdresser finished cutting the hair of the 11-year-old boy, he gets out of the chair, pulls the toy gun from his waist, and gives it to his dad, who points the gun at the hairdresser and demands money.

Police spokesmen said that the man and his son escaped the premises after seizing about 3,000 pesos (approximately $300) and hitting the hairdresser.

According to local media, the assault was reported to 911, and the local Patrol Command quickly arrested the man and his son.

"At the time of the arrest, the police could see how the boy discarded the weapon, which was finally proven to be a toy revolver," said a judicial source.

As the child is only 11-years-old, he was taken to his mother but the 45-year-old man, whose identity is reserved to protect the minor, was detained and charged by prosecutor Gastón Larramendi, of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) of Vicente López Oeste.

The cause was declared as "robbery aggravated by the use of a weapon not suitable for firing and for its commission in the company of a minor."
