China successfully launches its first rocket named Tianwen-1 to Mars.
In the video filmed at 12:41 on July 23, the Long March 5 rocket soared into the sky at the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan province. China took its first step in planetary exploration to Mars.
This is the first launch of the Long March 5 carrier rocket, successfully sending the Tianwen-1 Mars probe into a predetermined orbit.
Based on existing space capabilities, the probe can reach Mars in about seven months. The best route for a spacecraft from Earth to Mars is the Earthfire Transfer Orbit proposed by Homan in 1925. This orbit can only appear once every 26 months, and the most recent formation time is the summer of 2020.
Earlier on July 20, the UAE probe had successfully lifted off.
