Former Richmond AFL player Shane Tuck dies aged 38
Tuck played 173 senior matches for Tigers between 2004 and 2013.
He belonged to a famous AFL family, his father Michael won seven premiums, the legend of the Hawthorn Football Club and four captains.
He played for his brother Travis de Hawks and was the cousin of Geelong superstar Gary Ablett Junior and nephew of Cats' great Gary Ablett Senior.
Richmond CEO Brendon Gale paid tribute to Tuck, who died this morning.
"The news that Shane has passed upset us very much, he will be missed by everyone," Gale said in a statement.
"We send his deepest condolences to Shane's family and loved ones - his wife Kat, their children Will and Ava, their parents Michael and Fay, and the extended Tuck family.
"Shane was a fighter on the field, giving everything to the team every week, and a humble, fun-loving person from the field."
