서울시, 그린모빌리티 선도할 전기버스 도입 박차… 하반기 166대
If you are watching us in Seoul, you'll be seeing more environmentally-friendly buses on the capital's streets in the coming months as officials aim to reduce air pollution.
Using around 20 million U.S. dollars from its Green New Deal budget, the city will add an extra 166 electric buses to its fleet in the second half of the year.
The buses will start operating from October.
By the end of the year, there will be almost 400 electric buses operating in Seoul.
In addition to being better for the environment, the buses are much quieter and will save the city two-point-three million U.S. dollars in annual operating costs.
The city also said that, by the end of 2021, it's aiming to have a full fleet of eco-friendly buses on Seoul's streets.
