U.S. biotech company Moderna will begin late-stage trial testing of a potential COVID-19 vaccine on July 27th.
According to a U.S. government registry of drug trials ClinicalTrials.gov on Tuesday, the trial will enroll 30-thousand participants across thirty states and Washington, D.C. including California and Florida.
Participants will receive a 100 microgram dose on the first day of the experiment and another 29 days later.
Some patients will receive a placebo.
In May, Moderna released data from its early stage trial that said the potential vaccine produced neutralizing antibodies as well as binding antibodies in all participants.
