Tobias Rose-Stockwell began an adventure in 2004 as a backpacker in South East Asia. On his trip, he worked his way into Cambodia, to tour the Angkor Wat temples outside of Siem Reap. But while he was seeing the sites, something happened that translated his awareness.
This short film is a retrospective of that transformation, and an overview of the work that he and others have undertaken in the rural province of Balang. It was originally previewed in 2008 at Clos Pegase Winery in the Napa Valley, California. With the help of donations at a fund raiser at this event, Tobias and the staff of Human Translation are continuing the work that needs to be done.
Human Translation is a non-profit organization working in Balang Province, Cambodia.
