"I have really not analysed myself in terms of my appeal to my audiences but I am told and the regional newspapers that the young people like my work. It could be because I think I like young people more than anybody else because lets face it. The medium that we work in is a very young medium. You have to feel young, you have to stay young to be able to be in the medium successfully because the people who see the pictures are between the ages of 14 and 27. They form the majority and I think there's no film without romance because it can tend to be dry and when you have to have romance in films, I think you have to tap all the elements that are useful."
