정세현 "한반도 긴장 완화를 위해 국제정치 환경을 조성 필요"
South Korea's former unification minister Jeong Se-hyun said today that easing the tensions on the Korean Peninsula will require what he called an international political environment Seoul and Washington cannot solve it by themselves.
Speaking in Seoul at a forum on Korean Peninsula issues, Jeong said such a broad approach would enable the two Koreas to return to talks.
The cause of the recent tensions, he also said, is the sending of anti-North Korea leaflets by defectors and activists in the South.
And he suggested that to improve relations, Seoul needs to pursue legal action against the leaflet campaigners.
