301 COVID-19 recoveries in a single day reported

Another record-high number of recoveries from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in a single day in the country was reported by the Department of Health Tuesday, June 16.

For two-consecutive days, the Philippines has reported record-high recoveries with 298 on June 15 and 301 recoveries on June 16.

The latest number of patients who recovered from the disease brought the total number of recoveries to 6,552 as of June 16.

Confirmed cases, however, continue to rise as a total of 364 new cases were reported, bringing the total COVID-19 cases to 26,781. Of the new confirmed cases, 249 are fresh and 115 are late cases.

The death toll is now at 1,103 as five more patients succumbed to the dreaded disease.
