Shops across England welcome back customers on Monday (June 15) after being closed for three months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Non-essential retailers must adhere to strict guidelines.

Video captured in Swindon shows shoppers out and about.

"We've decided to come down today and brave the crowd and come shopping," one shopper says, "We've been furloughed so sitting at home every day ... It's time to get going and get back to normal now."

Small business owner Roger Shakles of Sewcraft in Swindon also describes some of the measures he has had to take in order to reopen. "We're a very tactile shop, people have to feel and touch to get an idea of what they're buying. People need to sanitise before they come in."
