According to Reuters, on Friday President Donald Trump said that he would like to see a ban on police choke holds, but...
He said that the need for police choke holds should be determined in one on one situations.
Trump told Fox News Channel, “I don’t like choke holds ... (but) sometimes, if you’re alone and you’re fighting someone, it’s tough..."
Trump's comments come after the May 25 death of George Floyd, a Black man who died after a Minneapolis policeman knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes.
Floyd’s death sparked a wave of protests for equality and racial justice.
Trump said that the actions of a “bad apple” should not destroy the image of police officer that he says “take really good care of us.”
