Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said private hospitals can charge their patients for personal protective equipment (PPE) worn by medical personnel.
The Health director-general said that when asked on Friday on the cost of personal protective equipment (PPE) worn by medical staff being borne by patients at private hospitals, adding that it is important for medical staff to know the health status of their patients before they can proceed with any surgery or operation.
