Forest officials use ladder to rescue leopard stranded in well in western India

Following a three-hour-long operation, forest department officials in western India managed to rescue a leopard that fell into a well by lowering down a ladder for it to climb.

The incident took place at Runwad village in Chota Udaipur Taluk in Vadodara District, Gujarat, on June 10.

According to reports, the leopard strayed out of the forest and fell into a well in the area.

Forest department officials rushed to the spot to rescue the feline.

They lowered a wooden ladder tied to a rope for the big cat to climb onto it and escape the well.

The leopard can be seen in video climbing up the ladder and jumping out of the well.

Following this, the feline escaped into a nearby forest.
