The World Bank has added South Korea to a list of emergency care countries for its global employees. South Korea will now offer immediate medical care to World Bank employees in the East Asia and Pacific region with acute or life-threatening conditions if local hospitals are unable to provide treatment.
An official from the World Bank said it was Korea's latest response to COVID-19 and its trustworthy medical system that led the institution to add South Korea making it only the third Asian country on the list after Thailand and Singapore.
