Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) chairman Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid on Tuesday (June 2) said the utility company had used the prorated method, which is reviewed and approved by the Energy Commission, to ensure consumers do not get overcharged.
He added that the bill is also based on the usage of the actual electricity every month.
He also said consumers can convert their bills during the MCO period into instalment payments until December.
