Model Chrissy Teigen has announced a break from social media amid the on-going spat with food writer Alison Roman. Chrissy shared that she is taking a ‘little break’ from social media. A couple of days, cookbook author Alison Roman took a jibe at Teigen’s business model in the food world. Post Alison’s comments, many people came in support for Chrissy but it seems like things have taken an unexpected turn for Teigen. Teigen took to her Twitter to announce the social media detox. She tweeted, “This is what always happens. The first day, a ton of support, then the next, 1 million reasons as to why you deserved this. It never fails.” The model turned business woman then added, “I really hate what this drama has caused this week. Calling my kids Petri dish babies or making up flight manifests with my name on them to ‘Epstein island’, to justify someone else’s disdain with me seems gross to me so I’m gonna take a little break.” In a recent interaction with an online portal, Alison Roman criticised Teigen’s way of running her business. She said, “Like, what Chrissy Teigen has done is so crazy to me. She had a successful cookbook. And then it was like: Boom, line at Target. Boom, now she has an Instagram page that has over a million followers where it’s just, like, people running a content farm for her.” Roman further mentioned that the way Chrissy is running her business horrifies her and it’s not something which she would like to implement. But the thing which caused the main chaos is that Alison said that Chrissy doesn’t care much as she is earning tons of money. Teigen was surely upset by the comments and took to her Twitter handle to express her distraught emotions. Following which Alison did issue an apology saying that she is sorry and those comments were careless and flippant. But well it seems like the damage has been done and Teigen has taken a good decision to take a break from social media as sometimes trolls can hurt mental health.
