Minneapolis continues to burn on Friday morning as Thursday marked the third night of arson, looting and vandalism in the Minnesota city over the death of a Black man, George Floyd, seen on video gasping for breath while a white police officer knelt on his neck during an arrest.
Protesters breached and set fire to a police precinct as the mayor ordered a tactical retreat of his police force. Buildings surrounding the area were also torched, and some collapsed.
Minnesota State Patrol lined up on Friday morning, backed by the National Guard, to move people out of the areas that continued to burn.
