코로나19로 바뀐 졸업식 풍경...로봇 아바타가 졸업장 수령, 경주를 통해 졸업식 진행

As the world continues to observe social distancing and amid the coronavirus outbreak, many large-scale events have been canceled, including the long-awaited graduation ceremonies for students around the world.
But, some have decided to push through with them... in their own unique ways while still observing social distancing.
Our Kim Mok-yeon brings us the stories.
With the help of robots, more than one-hundred-70 high school students in the Philippines were able to attend their graduation ceremony remotely.
The Senator Renato Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School in Manila found a way for its students to attend their graduation ceremony virtually...by using robots to project the graduates' faces in real time.
The unique occasion came as the school had been seeking ways to push through with the once-in-a-life-time event, despite most ceremonies being cancelled in the country due to COVID-19.
"It's a very momentous event that you won't want to miss and we would like to make sure that our students will not miss it despite the COVID-19 pandemic."
Meanwhile, over in the U.S., the Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas went a different route, and decided to hold its graduation ceremony at a racetrack.
Wearing gowns, more than two-hundred-50 graduates rode in cars with their families and listened to the graduation address on the radio.
After receiving their diplomas through the window, the students took a victory lap around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway racetrack.
Students say it was unexpected and that it will be an unforgettable graduation.
"With the difficulties going on I was bummed because I didn't think we'd have a graduation this school year, and that's something every student looks forward to."
"We were worried for a while it was going to be postponed or online. But I feel like this was a very cool substitution."
The school's CEO, said that the special graduation sought to recognize the efforts of the students and to give them a memorable graduation experience in spite of the ongoing pandemic.
