The South Korean government has launched an international cooperative body with ten other countries at the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization to promote cooperation against discrimination and other social challenges stemming from COVID-19.
On Tuesday, Seoul's foreign ministry held its first video conference with the Group of Friends for Solidarity and Inclusion with Global Citizenship Education.
The initiative comes as South Korea has been making efforts to share its know-how and experience fighting the pandemic.
The inaugural member states include Austria, Bangladesh, Italy and the Philippines.
