The sky turned black in Beijing at around 3:30pm on Thursday (May 21) when a major rainstorm hit the city.
In footage of the city, provided by local media with permission, heavy black clouds are seen clouding over the skies.
The sky eventually cleared and became brighter gradually from around 4:30pm as the rain became lighter.
