In the wake of Amarnath Yatra, tight security is being deployed at the base camp for the visiting pilgrims, including dozens of NSG commandos. Other facilities like clean halls for stay, enquiry counters, toilets, drinking water, banking and transport communication have also been set up at the Yatri Niwas in Jammu. More than three lakh pilgrims visit the Amarnath shrine each year.
