This feat of engineering and computer programming has resulted in a robotic hand that can replicate human motion and over 20 gestures.

The footage, captured on January 23, 2019, shows the robotic hand performing multiple gestures while explaining how it compares to actual human anatomy.

The filmer, Tomas Solorza, said: "I tried to replicate human hand motion and gestures.

"It is programmed to perform more than 20 gestures including counting from zero to five, do the 'V' for victory, say 'Yes,' 'No,' or 'Hello.' And many others.

"It was a super interesting project where I got to learn about anatomy, forces used in motions performed by hand such as grabbing things, or hand proportions.

"It can also be controlled with a play station controller or the cell phone, but it is better to use the programmed gestures since some of them are really complex."
