India on Sunday defeated Sri Lanka by an innings and 53 runs in the second Test of three-match series. Playing first India scored massive 622 runs in its first innings. In reply, the hosts could not bear the pressure of huge target and managed to score just 183 runs and enforced follow-on by India. In the second innings, Sri Lanka courtesy, Mendis and Karunaratne's hundreds scored 386 runs but that could not avoid an innings and 53 run defeat. Ravindra Jadeja who took 5 wickets was awarded as the man of the match.
