HK protests: Watchdog says police use of force met international guidelines but has room to improve

The Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC) has released a long-awaited report looking into the Hong Kong police’s handling of the anti-government protests that erupted in 2019. The watchdog made 52 recommendations and said officers’ use of force met international guidelines, but had room to improve.
