South Korea is gearing up for a possible resurgence in COVID-19 cases as high school seniors prepare to go back to schools on Wednesday.
In case a student is found with symptoms of the virus at school, the National Fire Agency will have additional emergency medical staff on stand by to transport the student to test sites... at each of the 224 fire stations nationwide.
At least one ambulance will be set aside at each station solely for the purpose of taking students to the coronavirus test site and then home afterwards.
Such measures are aimed at reducing the burden on students and their parents... at the same time preventing the spread of the virus within the community.
