As the country struggles to trace the thousands linked to the Itaewon cluster infection, health authorities will make use of the advanced technologies available.
Seoul's health ministry says bars and clubs could use QR code technology that contains visitors' information provided by cell phone carriers.
The data won't be open for the businesses to read. But in case of an emergency, the government can collect the information from telecom companies.
Bluetooth system can also be used to trace contacts within a certain area.
