Remdesivir, a potential coronavirus medication was approved by the FDA last week.
The emergency approval was ushered in due to the dire circumstances surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
Now, some hospitals are struggling to find the drug for their patients.
According to Business Insider, the US government is deciding which hospitals get the drug and which don't.
The government is also controlling how much medication a hospital can get.
Doctors across the country are saying that severely ill patients who should qualify for treatment aren't getting it.
In some cases, hospitals aren't able to give the medication to patients outside the confines of clinical trials.
