U.S. ICUs Could Still Be Overwhelmed By COVID-19 Patients

Communities across the United States still need to expand hospital capacity.
This is to manage new COVID-19 cases, even as some states loosen social distancing restrictions.
These results follow a study published Wednesday, according to reports at UPI.
The analysis estimates that some U.S. cities could need as many as 4.4 intensive care units.
They suggest 4.4. ICU's per 10,000 adults to manage critically ill patients with COVID-19.
It is also worth considering that these are numbers based on testing, which is severely limited.
The number of those infected and who have died from the virus are low as testing is not widely available.
