美CDC, FDA "올겨울 2차 유행 가능성 확인... 하지만 지금처럼 심각하지는 않을것"
U.S. health experts are warning the United States could be battling COVID-19 for the rest of the year.
The possibility of a second wave of COVID-19 hitting in the winter was raised by the commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Stephen Hahn.
The director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Robert Redfield, also said the situation could get "more difficult, more complicated" since two respiratory illnesses COVID-19 and the flu will be circulating at the same time.
Downplaying earlier reports quoting him directly, Redfield said a second wave would probably not be as dire as now due to a greater understanding of how the virus spreads.
