Shocking moment MTA worker attacks passenger after being caught spitting on the tracks

This was the brazen moment an MTA worker was caught spitting on the tracks amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The clip filmed on Monday (April 20) at the 74th & Broadway station in Jackson Heights Queens, NYC shows the train worker attacking the filmer after he allegedly spat on the tracks.

The filmer, Colin Ahearn explained the incident to Newsflare: "I was appalled that someone would be spitting during the pandemic but the worst thing is that there were workers painting and repairing under the tracks as you will see.

"Feeling very concerned, I confronted the MTA worker and to explain how wrong he was. He was having none of it. He got very defensive and into my face. He kept saying 'what are you going to do about it.' while trying to push his weight around. I explained that I’m not a violent man.

He, of course, called me many different names that I can't use here. He then attacked me, punched my face, grabbed my phone and threw it onto the tracks. I was stunned. I completely lost it with him and as you can hear in the video, I'm screaming at him at this stage.
Thankfully, one of the workers under the tracks found my phone. Of course there is no station manager and everything is online."
