Speaking to News Nation, Jai Pratap Singh, Minister of Excise and Prohibition in the Government of Uttar Pradesh said, "Six people have died by consuming spurious liquor in Barabanki district." He added, "A district administration official, 5 police personnel and 3 head constable have been suspended with immediate effect."
