A Catholic diocese in New Mexico is reopening its doors amid the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Business Insider, the church will open it's doors to the public for Sunday Mass on April 19.
The Roman Catholic church is openly disregarding statewide closures of all non-essential organizations.
A spokesperson for the Catholic Diocese of Las Cruces said they believe they are offering an essential service.
The church says it will follow mandates, which bans gatherings of more than five people.
Each in-person Mass will host only five worshippers at a time.
The church has recommended the five that will be in attendance to wear face masks, but they are not requiring it.

New Mexico currently has over 1500 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and a death toll of 44.
